In 2019 I had an assignment to illustrate an important event or person in history I found inspiring and wanted others to know more about. I picked Bernadette Devlin McAliskey, someone I had looked up to since I was in high school. Below is the sketch and a few of the color stories I messed with before deciding on the final color choices.
